Website and Forum downtime today
If you checked today/tonight, you likely noticed that the website and forum databases were not connecting for some reason. I attempted to open a ticket with AoWC when it was still down tonight, since Tempesta (my puppet--er, our webmaster) is out of pocket at the moment. Since Tempesta took over as website admin, he had to create a new AoWC account, which meant that I had no authority to open a support ticket until I got in touch with him. Thankfully Temp was a big help, even though I bugged him while he was spending time with his family, and the ticket was opened. As you can see, the main site is back up. The forums database is being worked on currently, and is expected to be back up within the hour (~11:50 PM EST). We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

UPDATE: Apparently AoWC moved us to new (faster) hardware today, which was the cause for the downtime. During or after the move, however, the databases were renamed, which caused them to still not function. After opening the ticket, they were restoring the databases which was supposed to be done in an hour, but took longer due to the database sizes. Lin-v8m fixed the database references around the time that the restores completed, so all was well around 12:30-ish. Thanks Lin!
